Jenna-Louise Coleman was born in England and is an actor known for her role as Clara Oswald. Early in her career, Jenna-Louise Coleman was part of Yer Space a theater company where she performed in Crystal Clear during the Edinburgh Festival. Coleman's part in the play Crystal Clear was recognized and rewarded. Coleman was given her first major break when she landed the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas in the soap drama Emmerdale from 2005. She continued her appearances in the soap until its ending in 2009. Jasmine Thomas was her character in the National Television Awards 2006. She won a nomination as Most Popular Freshman at that year's awards. Coleman began her career in a film with the title Connie (Captain America: The First Avenger) in 2011. Her biggest opportunity to display her range as an actress was in 2016, when she was offered to essay the role of former British monarch queen Victoria for the ITV series Victoria. Coleman's acting career has progressed from playing Lindsay James, a young schoolgirl in BBC Drama Waterloo Road, to portraying an empress on the show Victoria.
